Business Development Manager – B2B (National)

With industry-leading governance in place and proven success, including expansion into New Zealand, we are now ready to scale nationally—and we are looking for the right Business Development Manager (BDM) to join us.

  

About the role

As a BDM at AffordAssist, you will help expand our national footprint. You’ll partner with businesses and professionals whose clients are looking for smarter, more flexible ways to enter the property market. Your work will directly contribute to delivering real housing affordability while creating meaningful social impact.
We anticipate that you will primarily engage with partners through phone and video calls, making it easy to manage your time and reach nationwide opportunities.

  

We’re looking for someone who:

  • May be retired, but by no means wants to stop contributing your years of industry experience and prefers to stay active
  • Has experience in roles such as BDM, teacher, banking, lending, mortgage broking, real estate, affordable housing, or customer service
  • Gets that owning a home is a fundamental right, impacting our social fabric, intergenerational wealth, mental well-being, and the broader economy. Understands that responsible applicants do not seek a handout; they seek dignity and new, structured solutions fit for today’s economy
  • Fully understands and values how AffordAssist delivers housing affordability through social enterprise—an innovative home-loan and property-deposit solution that rethinks what a deposit can be, enabling homeownership sooner.
  • Can communicate the unique benefits of our solution and position it against traditional “sameness equation” options, including shared-equity schemes, guarantor loans, high-LVR mortgages, or SMSFs — some of these solutions can unintentionally compromise the buyer, cause more harm than good, make exiting or refinancing difficult, or even create new crises later
  • Appreciates the importance of educating applicants to help them understand how they can restructure, manage risks, and monitor their net equity position after five years
  • Appreciates that innovation can take time and care to properly convey

  

Your impact

You will build relationships with businesses that can expand their clients’ loan and property options, including:

  • Accountants, financial planners, and SMSF specialists
  • Land and residential developers, home builders, and agents
  • Buyers’ agents, mortgage brokers, managers, and lenders

By pairing their offerings with AffordAssist, you help the B2B partners differentiate themselves while enabling their clients to access a smarter path to homeownership.
